The New Metropolitan Detroit Club of The National Association of Negro Business & Professional Women’s Clubs, Inc. wants YOU!

​

We invite you to join an arena of dynamic business and professional women who are “Sisters Investing in Sisters: Elevating Extraordinary Women into Action.” We often refer to ourselves as “Ombudswomen Serving the Renaissance City.” That’s why our program focus is LETS (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Technology and Service). As a member, you will be able to make a difference in our organization and in our communities.

To become a member, one must fall into one of the following categories:

  • Regular Adult: Active or retired business or professional woman ages 36-61

  • (the impact is only on National dues)

  • Senior Citizen: Active or retired business or professional woman ages 62+ (the impact is only on National dues)

  • Young Adult: Ages 18-35

  • Youth: Ages 12-18

  • Beta Psi: Female and male college students

  • Ombudsmen: Males over age 18

MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

Membership is open to women, men and students

​

ADULT DIVISION:

ADULT: Working or retired business and professional women

[A business woman is defined as a woman engaged as the owner, co-owner, manager or branch representative; having charge as an executive with discretionary powers of any legitimate business having a license with a definite business location, telephone listing and open to the general public.]

[A professional woman shall be defined as a woman who has been licensed by any state to engage in any type of work listed as a profession; engaged in work for which a college degree is a prerequisite; engaged in an administrative or supervisory type of work which requires both training and skill; or engaged in civil service and has reached an administrative or supervisory grade level.]

YOUNG ADULT: Women 18-35 who are in or preparing for a business or professional career

​

ASSOCIATE: Women supporters with membership on the National level

​

INTERNATIONAL: Business and professional women residing outside of the United States

​

OMBUDSMEN: Adult male supporters


YOUTH DIVISION

BETA PSI: Students attending an accredited college, university or technical institution

​

YOUTH AND MR. B & P: Youth ages 12 - 18


No person shall be denied membership in the Association or subdivision because of race, creed, color, or place of national origin.
